WTF is, and has always been, a member-supported space. Not just in a financial/business sense, but in personal and professional ways that enable our continued survival.
I couldn’t let this year end without thanking all of you for your ongoing support of what we do. Every referral, social share, and event you attend means the world to us. I can’t lie—since opening WTF in 2020, it’s been a day-by-day effort to succeed. The fact that we have so much love and encouragement behind us has kept us going, even during some of our most challenging moments.
There are some folks that gave so freely of their time and talents this year, and I wanted to thank them here.
Calla had an idea to host a mini powerlifting meet at the gym and took the helm in creating and organizing the event that became Lift Little Dream Big! The time and commitment of this project was huge, and we absolutely could not have done it without her. And if that wasn’t enough, Calla also generously donated her time and talents as a professional photographer to shoot all the fabulous photos you see on our website. Thank you, Calla!
Kathleen offered her skills as a graphics and marketing professional to help us design some very on-brand WTF images for our website and social media and is currently giving her time to assist us with several volunteer marketing and promotional efforts to put WTF in front of new audiences in 2025! Thank you, Kathleen!
Shannon gave us literal months of free labour as she guided us through a full strategic plan for the next three years. Many meetings and spreadsheets later, we have new guideposts, policies, and targets to help us become a more sustainable operation. We are beyond grateful for her cheerful, can-do spirit as we walked through the scary world of numbers and projections. Thank you, Shannon!
To all of you who staffed various tables, moved furniture around, volunteered at the mini-meet, helped us organize and book social outings, decorated/cleaned/painted, and so many more things that I’m probably forgetting, THANK YOU!!
